The Financial User role is assigned to employees who need to access any element of the district-wide SchoolInsight Financials system, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Budget, or Employee Attendance.
Each Financial User has customized permissions, so one person may be able to modify everything, while another person may only be able to view the Budget.
Each individual must be created as an Employee before they can be a Financial User.
To add a Financial User:
- Go to Financials Main > Setup > Financial Users
- Scroll to find the employee. If the employee is inactive, change the Inactive column’s filter
- Click Create User to the right of employee’s name
- Enter an Email address if not already provided
- Check Financial User (and keep Active checked)
- Assign permissions using the options at the right
- Optional: Check “Email invitation for new user to log in”
- Save
