TeacherEase draws from official report card grades when building the ISBE Student Course Assignment file. When generating a preview of this file, several errors can result in there being no data for the report to submit. You can find each of these error messages, as well as how to correct them, below:
- Sorry, there are no report cards reporting an official grade for this year
- Sorry, there are no report card item lists attached to courses for this year
- Sorry, no course's report card item list has an item marked as 'Official Grade'
- Sorry, no course is set to be shown on the report card
- Sorry, no course is set to be exported to the state
Sorry, there are no report cards reporting an official grade for this year
To check if an official report card has been created, follow these steps:
- Go to District/School Main > Grade Reporting
- Define Report Cards
- If there is not a report card created with the Official Grade designation in the Options column, see How Do I Create A Report Card?
If a report card exists, but is not designated as the Official Grade in the Options column, and you’d like to change it to Official, follow these steps:
- Go to District/School Main > Grade Reporting
- Define Report Cards
- Edit the report card
- Check “Official Grade (will show on transcripts)”
- Save
Sorry, there are no report card item lists attached to courses for this year
To check if Report Card Item Lists have been created, follow these steps:
- Go to District/School Main > Grade Reporting > Report Card Item Lists
- If there are no lists, Create a Report Card Item List. Otherwise, continue to the next step
- Assign to Courses
- In the Options to Set table, select the name of the desired report card item list
- Check the box next to the course(s) you would like to edit
- Save
Sorry, no course's report card item list has an item marked as 'Official Grade'
To mark a report card item as an official grade, follow these steps:
- Go to District/School Main > Grade Reporting > Report Card Item Lists
- Select report card items next to the list in use
- Review the report card item list to determine which grade should be reported to the state.
- If one of the existing items contains the grade that should be reported to the state:
- Edit the report card item to be reported to the state.
- Check Official Grade
- Save
- If one of the existing items does not contain the grade that should be reported to state:
- Create a Report Card Item and select the Official Grade option
- If one of the existing items contains the grade that should be reported to the state:
Sorry, no course is set to be shown on the report card
To set courses to be shown on report cards, follow these steps:
- Go to District/School Main > Report Card Item Lists
- Assign to Courses
- In the Options to Set table, set Show on Report Cards to Yes
- Using the Show on Report Cards column as a guide, check the box next to the course(s) you would like to edit
- Save
Sorry, no course is set to be exported to the state
To set courses to be exported to the state, follow these steps:
- Go to District/School Main > Courses > Course Catalog
- Mass Edit
- In Data to Edit, set Export to State to Yes
- Check the box next to the course(s) you would like to edit
- Save
