This article goes over how to manage file uploads for students. In SchoolInsight, admin can upload files into the student single-view. SchoolInsight creates several default fields to store files, such as proof of residency or IEP, but also allows you to create custom fields to store files. Files can be uploaded in two different places on the student single-view, with each location requiring different permissions. To upload general files, such as a proof of residency, you will need the “modify” upload files permission. To upload files related to Special Education, such as an IEP, you will also need the “modify” SPED permission.
To upload a file:
- Go To Main > Student - Single-view
- Search for the desired student
- Select the General tab
- Depending on file type, select the File Uploads or SPED sub tab
- Select the Edit () Icon
- Select the text in the gray box, or drag a file directly into the gray box to upload
- Save
You can also delete file uploads from the same location.
To delete file uploads:
- Go To Main > Student - Single-view
- Search for the desired student
- Select the General tab
- Depending on file type, select the File Uploads or SPED sub tab
- Select the Edit () Icon
- Select the “x” next to the uploaded file
- Select Yes
