You can verify important information about your TCCs such as the status, role, approved forms, and the TCC number itself at the IRS.
Beginning in tax year 2026 (filing in 2027), your 1099s must be filed through IRIS. The previous FIRE system will no longer be available.
Verify your 1099 IRIS TCC T/P Indicator is T or P
Verify your 1099 IRIS TCC role is Issuer
Verify your 1099 IRIS TCC code is correct in SchoolInsight
Verify your 1099 IRIS TCC is active
Verify your 1099 IRIS TCC is permitted to submit 1099 series
To verify your 1099 series information go to IRS IRIS Application for TCC and log in to Access IRIS application for TCC with your ID.me account. If any changes are made, allow at least two business days for system synchronization after any updates.
On the “Select Your Organization” page, you may have multiple lines to select from on the next page, including but not limited to IR TCC, IRIS TCC and ACA TCC.
- To view your TCC data for IRIS 1099s select IRIS TCC
Click on view (eyeball icon) beside the appropriate application (IRIS-TCC)
Click the Application Summary Tab.

Scroll down to the TCC Information section. Verity whether your TCC T/P Indicator is T or P.

To verify what 1099 IRIS TCC number you are using in SchoolInsight Financials:
- Go to Setup > Tax Form Settings
- View the 1099 TCC
- Click edit if the number is incorrect
- Save
Verify your 1099 IRIS TCC is active
Scroll down to the TCC Information section. The status should show “Active.”

Verify your 1099 IRIS TCC is permitted to submit 1099 series
To determine the form type your 1099 TCC is authorized for, scroll further down to the Form T/P Indicators section. The Forms should show 1099 series to submit 1099-NECs and 1099-MISCs.
