Classic Custom Reports allow users to build student reports that contain contact (example: custodial parents/guardians) information. This can include information such as the name, home address, phone number, and email address of a student’s contact(s). This article will explain the unique options that affect how these reports appear.

To create a Classic Custom Report including contacts:
- Go to Main > Reports > Saved Reports
- Click Create then Classic Custom Report
- In the Report Type tab, check the box next to Contacts
When creating a Details Report, there are a few different options in the Report Type tab that impact how students with multiple contacts are displayed:

| Show only one row per student - Show all contacts, duplicating columns | Shows one row per student, with all of their contacts on that row | Creating a scheduled export to a third party like Apptegy |
When including fields such as Contact Phone Number or Contact Phone Type in the report Data tab, options for Handling multiple phone numbers per contact will appear:

| Allow contacts to have multiple rows, one row per phone number | Shows all phone numbers associated with a contact, creating a new row for each phone number | Exporting only one column of phone number data per row to a third party vendor |
Note: These options are disabled in the following circumstances where they do not apply
- "Show only one row per student" is selected
- The "Only send one letter per contact" filter is used
- The "For contacts with duplicate addresses" filter is used and an option other than "include all occurrences" is selected
- The "Some contacts have email" filter is used
- The "Student has contact(s)" filter is used
