We recommend resetting the sync between Google Classroom (GC) and TeacherEase (TE) before a new academic year starts to assure the sync is running with the start of a new academic year.
The sync is rarely used over the summer. As a result, GS may disable the token that enables this sync as a security precaution. Resetting the connection in SchoolInsight will create a new token to connect both platforms.
This should be done by a Google Classroom Super User Admin!
To reset the Google Classroom sync token:
- Go to District Main > Options > Enable Google Classroom Sync
- Uncheck the checkbox Enable Google Classroom Sync
- Save
- Check the checkbox Enable Google Classroom Sync
- The system will ask you to login to Google
- Save
