This article discusses how to enter Educator Position data in Missouri. Educator Position data is used to populate the October Cycle Missouri Educator School and Course Assignment file. Employees can have multiple positions to correspond to their different roles, such as a teacher instructing both Career Technical Education (CTE) classes and non-Career Technical Education classes.
To create a new position:
- Go To Main > Employees
- Hover over the desired employee and select the “+” button on the left hand side
- Select the Positions tab
- Hover over the position data and select the “+” icon that appears on the right hand side
- Set the Position Type
- Set the Work Location School (“Reporting School Code” on Educator School and Course Assignment)
- If set to District, the positions reporting school code will be 1000
- (Optional - Teacher Position only) Set the CTE Program Type and MESD CTE Months
- Set the FTE
- Set the MESD Salary (“Salary” on the Educator School file)
- (Optional) If the position started after the beginning of the school year, set the MESD Late Start Date (“Late Start Date” on Educator School file)
- (Optional) If the position ended before the end of the school year, set the MESD Early End Date (“Early End Date” on Educator School file)
- (Optional) Enter the MESD Baseline Salary Grant (“Baseline Salary Grant” on Educator School file)
- (Optional) Enter the MESD Course Comment (“Course Comment” on Educator School file)
- Save
This information can be updated at any time if the information changes.
To update position data:
- Go To Main > Employees
- Hover over the desired employee and select the “+” button on the left hand side
- Select the Positions tab
- Hover over the desired position and select the
icon to edit the data
- Adjust the relevant field
- Save
