Employees can submit updated tax withholding information through the Employee Portal if the district has granted that permission. Both state and federal W-4s can be updated.
To update your W-4:
- Go to Employee Portal Main > Withholding (W-4) Info
- Submit New W-4 or Submit New [state] W-4
- Enter required details
- Optionally, include an attachment such as a scanned copy of the signed document
- Save
After saving, your W-4 will be subject to an approval process determined by your district office. The status of your W-4 will be Awaiting Approval until everyone in the approval chain has a chance to review and approve your W-4, at which point you will receive a notification. Once approved, your new W-4 will take effect on the next payroll.
