This article explains how to configure an Oklahoma school calendar to report school closings due to COVID-19 to comply with the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) requirements.
Calendar Days
The ED-Emergency calendar date type code should be used to report an emergency district closing, including a closing for COVID-19. Use this code to report closings on all school and district calendars.
To mark an emergency day on the calendar:
- Go to (School District) Admin Main > Calendar > view
- Edit the month that the closing date occurs in
- Choose ED-Emergency Day for the dates the school district is closed on
- Change Report As to NA-Not Applicable
- Leave Daily Instructional Minutes blank
- Save
This will submit the appropriate code “0849” for the calendar day(s) as required by the OSDE in this situation.
