Saved reports allow you to query data from many areas of SchoolInsight FInancials and configure it in the way most suitable to you. You can pick a data type, choose your settings, and print or export the report. Several reports are preloaded for your convenience.
When creating a new report, you must first choose between two report types:
- Details reports show every line item as a row of data. Columns can be modified and filtered, and data can be grouped to arrive at subtotals.
- Summary reports allow you to specify rows and columns that accumulate and summarize data into a chart.
After choosing the report type, pick a data type to query, such as Payroll Items, Invoices, Substitutes, Employees, etc. This determines what kind of data can be shown on the report.
Some data types have subtypes. For example, when you are looking for information on payments, you can choose from three types:
- Payments Only
- Payments and Invoices, without Line Items
- Payments, Invoices, and Line Items
