This article explains how to find missing attendance. Missing attendance happens when daily attendance was not calculated, imported, or entered for any students on a given date or can happen when attendance is entered for some students on a specific date, but not for all. It is best practice to check for missing attendance on a regular basis, such as weekly, so that the job of making corrections is manageable.
Two reports to use to find missing attendance are:
- Overall Statistics Report grouped by Date - Find dates where daily attendance was not imported, entered, or calculated for all students.
-
Missing Daily Attendance Report - Find students who are missing daily attendance on specific dates, when attendance was entered for other students. This happens most frequently when
- A student is not enrolled in any class that takes period attendance and therefore, attendance wasn't imported or caculated for the student.
- A student enrollment entry/exit dates changed to include days when the daily attendance has already been calculated or entered, but was not entered on those dates the student.
