Occasionally, a position is paid from multiple accounts. When this is the case, an account breakdown can be configured in SchoolInsight Financials to divide the pay proportionally. Account breakdowns are configured by position, so one employee can have each position configured with a different account breakdown.
The account breakdown works by pushing its dimensions into any employee payroll item with the default dimensions FF for fund, NNNN for function, OOO for object, RR for responsibility center, etc. These letters act as placeholders that inherit the dimensions found in the payroll breakdown.
The exact dollar amount linked to each account can be viewed on the payroll register, when you view the Resulting Dimensions table in the Calculation Details of any payroll item.
To edit a position’s account breakdown:
- Go to Financials Main > Human Resources > Employees
- Search and select an employee
- Select the Positions tab
- Edit a position
- In Payroll Account Breakdown use the plus icon to add an additional source of funds
- Enter Dimensions
- The sum of Allocation Percentage must equal 100%.
