In SchoolInsight’s standards-based learning system, learning targets are the entities that are attached to assignments and graded by instructors. When learning targets are instructor-managed, instructors may copy them from the district or state repository of standards or write their own learning targets.
Before getting started, consider whether you will need to add more than one set of standards to your class. The standards will appear in the order you add them, so the standards you want at the top of the list should be added first.
Add Standards as Learning Targets
To add the first set of standards as learning targets:
- Go to Instructor Main > Gradebook Setup > Learning Targets/Standards
- Select a Class or Subject
- Get Started
- Select I will create new learning targets
- Select For just this one class
- Continue
- Select I will use the state standards
- Select a Subject Level and/or a Grade Level to filter the standards list
- Select a set of standards
- Continue
- Select all of the standard items to be added (all are selected by default)
- Add State Standards as Learning Targets
Once complete, you will be returned to the Learning Targets page where you can see that the state standards have been added as learning targets.
To add another set of standards as learning targets:
