When enrolling a student who attends school with a schedule different from the standard days of attendance it is necessary to assign an Academic Calendar that reflects their schedule. For example, a preschool student might only attend three days a week, or a student with a different serving school might have different holidays than in your district. To prevent students from appearing on attendance pages when they are not expected, assign these students to appropriate academic calendars.
Students attending a state-reporting public school with a nonstandard calendar may need different Percent of Day Attended (PDA) or Full Time Equivalent (FTE) values. PDA/FTE can be adjusted while assigning Academic Calendars.
The process to solve this is very simple:
- Create an Academic Calendar and mark the correct days in session, not in session, etc.
- Assign the calendar to student(s)
