How do I sync TeacherEase calendars to my personal calendar?

Schools create calendars to share information about upcoming events with the entire school population, including students, parents, instructors, and staff. The school may have one master calendar or multiple calendars for specific types of events: band schedule, soccer matches, etc.

Each calendar has a unique URL, which if added to your personal calendar (such as Google Calendar or Apple Calendar) will automatically pull events over from TeacherEase. This allows users to track upcoming school events on their phone or desktop, right alongside any other personal events. 

There are two steps in syncing the TeacherEase calendar with your Google Calendar:

  1. Copy the calendar URL
  2. Add the URL to your personal calendar

Copy the calendar URL

To sync the TeacherEase calendar with any device, the first step is obtaining the calendar URL. This URL will be entered into your personal calendar program.

As a Parent/Student

To copy the calendar URL from the iOS TeacherEase app:

  1. Sign into the TeacherEase app
  2. Go to More > Calendars
  3. Subscribe
  4. Click Copy to Clipboard beneath to the calendar you want to sync

To copy the calendar URL from the desktop or an Android phone:

  1. Sign into www.teacherease.com
  2. Go to Main > Miscellaneous > Calendars
  3. Subscribe
  4. Click Copy to Clipboard next to the calendar you want to sync

As an Instructor

To copy the calendar URL:

  1. Sign into www.teacherease.com
  2. Go to Instructor Main > Miscellaneous > Calendars
  3. Subscribe
  4. Click Copy to Clipboard next to the calendar you want to sync

As an Admin

To copy the calendar URL:

  1. Sign into www.teacherease.com
  2. Go to Admin Main > Event Calendars
  3. Subscribe
  4. Click Copy to Clipboard next to the calendar you want to sync

 

Add the URL to your personal calendar

The URL can be added to many different calendar programs. We have provided instructions for syncing to Google Calendar on a desktop or Android device and for syncing to Apple Calendar with an iPhone. Your own device may require different steps.

Sync to Google Calendar on desktop and Android

To sync the calendar with your Google Calendar from a desktop or an Android device:

  1. Sign in to  www.google.com/calendar
  2. Click the + next to Other calendars in the right-hand column
  3. From URL
  4. Paste the URL you copied
  5. Add Calendar

Sync to Apple Calendar on iPhone

To sync the calendar with Apple Calendar:

  1. Open your Settings app and select Passwords & Accounts or Mail, Contacts, Calendars, depending on your version of iOS
  2. Add Account
  3. Other
  4. Add Subscribed Calendar
  5. Paste the URL in the Server field
  6. Next
  7. Configure additional options (User Name and Password can be left blank) and Save
