Why does a class not show on report cards?

One of the most common reasons for not seeing a class on report cards is having no report card item list assigned at the course level. Sometimes a teacher will go to enter report card grades, but certain classes will not show up. Other times, the admin will generate a report card for students, but notice that some classes are missing.

There are two ways to solve this:

  1. Edit the single course
  2. Mass assign report card items list to multiple courses

Edit a single course

To assign a report card item list to a single course:

  1. Go to Admin Main > Courses > Course - Single View
  2. Find and select the course
  3. Edit Course
  4. Go to the Report Card tab
  5. Select a report card item list
  6. Save

Mass assign report card items list

This can be resolved by admins who can assign report card item lists as follows:

  1. Go to Admin Main > Grade Reporting > Report Card Item Lists > Assign to Courses
  2. Options to Set
    • Select the proper report card item list
  3. Courses to update
    • Check the check box next to each course that should have the selected report card item list assigned to it
  4. Save
