How do I set up my courses for the Postsecondary Opportunities Report in Oklahoma?

The Oklahoma Department of Education (OSDE) Postsecondary Opportunities report relies on course data as well as on report card grades to populate the Postsecondary Opportunities report in the WAVE Portal.  This article explains how to enter data into both of these areas for the following post secondary course types:

  • College prep coursework
    • Advanced Placement (AP)
    • International Baccalaureate (IB)
  • Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment courses
  • Internships
  • Industry Certification Programs through CareerTech

Enter Post Secondary Course Data

Before updating your course catalog, refer to the Oklahoma Cost Account System (OCAS) Code and Course Title list for a list of valid postsecondary course names and codes.

To enter post secondary course data:

  1. Go to (School District) Admin Main > Courses > Course - Single View
  2. Search for the course
  3. Edit
  4. General Tab
    • Title:  Enter a course title from the OCAS Code and Course Title list
    • Number of Grading Periods:  Enter the number of grading periods for which the course is scheduled
  5. State Data Tab
    • State Number:  Enter the OCAS Code from the OCAS Code and Course Title list
    • Instructional Level:  Refer to the instructional level table
  6.  Save

Report card grades can be entered by admins or by instructors.
