How do I override instructor imports?

This article is for schools who import class instructor data via OneRoster or Clever imports from a SIS into TeacherEase. If the data being imported doesn’t match exactly what you want to show in TeacherEase, we offer some options that will override the instructor imports.

To turn on the ability to override instructor imports:

1. Go to School District Admin Main > Options > Import/Export
2. Edit
3. Check Allow Manual Override of Class Instructor Imports
4. Save

Once this option is turned on, you can:

1. Keep an instructor on a class, even if the import doesn’t include that instructor
2. Keep an instructor off a class, even if the import includes that that instructor

To keep an instructor on a class, even if the import doesn’t include them:

1. Go to Admin Main > Classes/Sections
2. Find a class and click edit
3. Check the “Import Override” box next to the instructor
4. Save

To make sure an instructor is never added to a class, even if the import includes them:

1. Go to Admin Main > Classes/Sections
2. Find a class and click edit
3. Add the instructor in the Import Exclusions field
4. Save
