Schools generally import new student pictures each academic year. Sometimes they may not see the updated pictures due to old cached files. To view that the new picture files, a forced reload of your web browser may be necessary to clear the cache.
There are different steps taken to clear cache based on the browser in use. In most browsers cache is cleared from the Privacy or History area in the Setting or Options menu.
To quickly clear cache in most browsers:
- Simultaneously press the Ctrl + Shift + Del buttons on your keyboard
- A clear history page will pop up
- Confirm that cache is selected
- Clear
To clear cache in Microsoft Edge:
- At the top right of the page click the three horizontal dots
- Go to Settings > Choose what to clear (under Clear browsing data)
- Confirm that Cached data and files is checked
- Clear
To clear cache in Google Chrome:
- At the top right of the page click the three vertical dots
- Go to More Tools > Clear browsing data
- Confirm that Time range = All time
- Confirm that Cached images and files is checked
- CLEAR DATA
To clear cache in Apple Safari:
- Click Safari in the upper left hand side of your screen
- Click Preferences > Privacy
- Click the button Remove All Website Data…
- Click Remove Now in the pop up window that appears
To clear cache in Mozilla Firefox:
- At the top right of the page click the hamburger menu
- Click History > Clear Recent History
- Confirm that Time range to clear: is set to Everything
- Confirm that Cache is checked
- Clear Now
To clear cache in Microsoft Internet Explorer 11:
- At the top right of the page click the gear icon
- Go to Safety > Delete browsing history
- Confirm that Temporary Internet files and website files is checked
- Delete
