At the start of a new academic year, it is best practice to review food item prices in the lunch module. When creating a new academic year, admins have the option to copy over the meals and food items with their current prices. As a result, the meals and food items will already be created. The admin will then need to review and update food item prices before the start of the new school year.
The food item’s price is locked once it has been ordered by a student or employee. Consequently, it is important to review the prices before school starts. Otherwise, this may result in the students being charged the wrong amounts and the school being reimbursed for the wrong amount. The admin would then have to recreate all food orders with the correct food item prices.
To change the price of a food item:
- Go to Admin Main > Modules > Lunch > Food Items
- Choose the Academic Year
- edit the food item
- Set the prices
