This article discusses how to manage school types. In SchoolInsight district admins have the ability to create entities and assign them to schools or school types. For example, a course could be assigned to a single school building or all high school buildings within the district. In such case, the district admin should create a “high school” school type and assign it to all high schools within the district.
To create a new school type:
- Goto School District Admin Main > Options > School Types
- Create School Type
- Enter a Description for the new school type
- Check the check box next to each school that should have the new school type
- Save
Sometimes school types would already exist, but schools may not have school types assigned to them. A district admin could remedy this by assigning a school type to each of these schools.
To assign a school type:
- Goto School District Admin Main > Options > School Types
- edit the school type
- Check the check box next to each school you wish to assign this school type to
- Save
