403(b) and 457(b) SSP plan enrollment is recorded per calendar year instead of fiscal year. For this reason, you will need to roll over these retirement plan enrollments to the next calendar year before creating your first January payroll run.
If you roll over the retirement plan enrollments while the run is Draft status, you will need to either refresh each affected employee or delete the run and start over. Failure to ensure the change is pushed to the run will result in $0.00 being withheld.
Note: If your 403(b) plans are set up with the payroll item type “Retirement” and are not tracked with an official 403(b) enrollment, this process is not necessary.
To roll over SSP enrollments to the next year:
- Go to Financials Main > Human Resources > Employee Positions (multi-view)
- Click on More
- Select Rollover SSP Enrollment
- Select the current Rollover from year
- Check the employees you wish to continue enrollment in the next year
- Save
