What is an attendance code?

Attendance codes in SchoolInsight are used to describe a student’s attendance status for a specific school day or throughout the school day.  They are used by teachers and admins to keep track of:

  • Students who are present, absent, and tardy
  • The amount of present credit that a student will earn for the day
  • Whether or not absences and tardies are excused or unexcused

Attendance codes in SchoolInsight are customizable to meet the needs of the school.  Examples of commonly used codes are P (present), A (absent), T (tardy), PA (partial).
